Help with Para build?
Hello all. This is my first post here at Guru, although I've lurked for a little bit to learn the rules, etc. I know that builds should go into the build thread, but I don't wish to submit this as a viable build since I just want a bit of help on it.
I've recently begun using the Paragon and I have found him quite fun to play with a good amount of depth. However, I couldn't quite find a build that I really felt comfortable with. I tried a conjure spear type deal with Focused Anger but I don't like using Aggressive Refrain in AB since it can sometimes be hard to maintain outside of battle. I also didn't like the cracked armor because I seemed to become an assassin's main target giving them a free condition. But I still needed a reliable IAS and an adrenaline boost.
After scouring these forums and the often degraded PvXwiki I found an interesting combination of enduring harmony, soldier's fury, and for great justice, I'm sure everyone here knows it. Anyway, I started testing different variants in AB until I came up with this:
Spear Mastery: 11+1+1
Leadership: 10+1
Tactics: 10
[skill]Blazing Spear[/skill][skill]"Shields Up!"[/skill][skill]"For Great Justice!"[/skill][skill]"Watch Yourself!"[/skill][skill]Leader's Comfort[/skill][skill]Soldier's Fury[/skill][skill]Enduring Harmony[/skill][skill]"Lead the Way!"[/skill]
As far as I can tell the build works ok. But I'm having a hard time assessing my overall influence. What does Guru think of it? A few tweaks or utter trash?
If this is in the wrong place I won't be offended if it is closed.
Thanks!

You might want to focus on having more shouts/chants that affect allies instead of specifically party members. In a good group you can stay with your party relatively well but oftentimes you'll be helping rag-tag groups of non-party members cap things because your own group splintered. Because of this, Paragons that specialize in shouts don't see much use in AB.. most just focus on doing spear damage or using weird niche builds.
Btw, generally when you want profession-specific build advice, the best place would be that profession's forum... I don't know if its a "rule" or not, but you'd get better feedback in theory. If the mods don't like having this thread here, they'll probably just move it.

Thanks for the advice.
